Jay started his IT career in the early 1990s when he developed an inventory tracking system for a food service supply company he owned. During the next five years he enhanced the system and implemented the system at several clients in the same industry. In 1995 he sold his company and joined The Catalyst Group, a consulting company who specialized in implementation of systems in Health Care, Insurance and Banking Industries. As Project Manager, he managed several large scale projects that including migrating systems to a Client Server environment. On many projects he assumed the roles of Developer, Data Architect and DBA. In 1998 Jay joined Sunrise Tech Group, which specialized as a Business Partnership with the Rational Corporation. There, Jay provided training on the Rational Suite, as well as assisted clients with implementation and coaching services. In 2001, Jay joined Penn State Great Valley, School of Graduate Professional Studies as Program Manager for Technology Profession Development Programs. In this role, he has worked with clients to develop customized training programs and delivered training in Visual Basic, VB.NET, SQL, Oracle and Java. In 2008 Jay became a CSM® and managed the implementation of a campus wide online student registration system, as well as other related university systems. In 2012 he obtained his CSPO®. Since 2008 Jay has worked with local and global clients in a large variety of industries. He has taught classes on the Agile overview and Kanban, in addition to conducting coaching sessions.
